Awright. After a mere $120 in proofs from Lulu, Blue Jean Blankie: Hope Star Pattern is now available to the public for a whopping $24.88 per copy. Believe me, Lulu is getting most of that. Full color printing ain't cheap. The printed books are of very nice quality, though, and worth the money IMHO. The book is spiral bound so it will stay open while you fumble with a blankie, and is updated with new graphics and extra pictures of the cats, who are, as you can see, big fans already. It includes the Making Blankie Labels section. You can see previews on Lulu. (Give it a couple minutes to load.)

This was by no means a one-person project. Dad and Little Brother built my computer and kept it more or less in working condition. Little Sister tripped over boxes of dead jeans for way longer than she should have had to and didn't complain, even though it was her room too. Mom laid the brickwork and planted the flowers I used as a photography background. And Bigger Brother kept me from throwing my quilting tools away that one night when frustration and a mood swing converged. Thanks for convincing me to dig them back out of the trash, bro. x)

I didn't even pick out the soon-to-be-Blankie-mascots, the kittens; they were dumped on me (neighbor kids). In other words, I could never have done this all by myself. So, thanks to everybody. This project exists because you helped me.

It's a bit of a bother to make a Lulu account, if only because it's one more password to forget, but after that placing an order is pretty straightforward. I've ordered from Lulu several times and thus far they've always provided good service. The items usually arrive within a week, and shipping is quite reasonable. Make sure to choose Media Mail if you don't want to pay for Priority shipping.
