For a Hope Star Blankie, try the tying pattern above. I use surgeon's knots.
You can sprain fingers by handsewing through towel-backed denim, so I highly recommend using a pair of pliars!
Use long pieces of ordinary acrylic yarn and a cross-stitching needle.
Take a single stitch through both quilt layers (denim AND terrycloth)...
...clip the stitch to a convenient length, and tie it using a surgeon's knot.
Well, Raphaella thinks it's nice. Don't you agree? =D Add a personalized label, if you like, and the quilt is done!
